The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Wayne State University is equipped with modern, state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, most of which are utilized for hands-on student exercises as part of the undergraduate curriculum. The labs are also equipped with personal computers available for testing control and data acquisition as well as use by students for data analysis, computing, graphics, report preparation and general-purpose work. Almost all of the civil engineering laboratories are used by the faculty for research purposes; a great majority of the laboratories serve a dual purpose and accommodate both research and educational activities. Information on individual labs is provided in this section of the department website.
